Crafting an independent online presence for an established journalist

The Lowdown

As a respected veteran interior design and decor journalist trusted by the design community, editors and PR pros, Vicky Sanderson knew her credibility, perspective and opinions deserved a dedicated online space to broaden her reach and explore new content and business opportunities.

Despite a syndicated regular column in the Toronto Star, and working as a contributing writer to some of Canada’s leading women’s and lifestyle magazines, Vicky was struggling to claim space in the evolving media landscape and needed an online home of her own to explore the next stage of her career.

Creative Worth developed a sophisticated visual identity that balances Vicky’s classic style and core subject matter. We customized a pre-built WordPress template to create an elegant site that shines a light on Vicky’s clever writing, conveying interesting information in a way that’s readable, beautiful and navigable. Her new brand was also applied to her social media presence, and we set up automated email marketing campaigns to target her most dedicated readers.

Since launching her personal brand and website, Vicky continues to attract new partnerships, collaborations, and business opportunities with brands in the interior design and decor sectors – ranging from regional broadcast segments to sponsored social media content.

“Heather’s process was simple, but thoughtful and considered. From the start, it was easy to explain to her what I wanted, and I was very impressed to so quickly get pitch-perfect branding. Working with Heather was a fantastic investment, and a pleasure.”
